William George Heirens is a convicted American serial killer who confessed to three murders in 1946. Heirens has been called The Lipstick Killer due to a notorious message scrawled in lipstick at a crime scene. He is reputedly the world's longest serving prisoner, having thus far spent 65 years in prison.

Heirens committed serial burglaries when he was young, even as he studied electrical engineering at the University of Chicago.
Frances Brown, was discovered savagely stabbed to death, and someone had written a message in lipstick on the wall of Brown’s apartment:
For heavens
sake catch me
before I kill more
I cannot control myself.
While handwriting analysts did not definitively link Heirens’ handwriting to the "Lipstick Message", police claimed that his fingerprints matched a print discovered at the scene of the Frances Brown murder.
